Privacy Policy
Julia Arndt Coaching Inc.
Effective Date: June 1, 2025
This Privacy Policy explains how Julia Arndt Coaching Inc. ("Julia Arndt Coaching," "we," "us," or "our"), a California S corporation, collects, uses, and shares information about you when you visit our websites, including peakperformancewithjulia.com and peakperformancemethod.com (the "Sites"), purchase our programs or products, sign up for our emails, attend our trainings, or otherwise interact with us (together, the "Services").
By using our Services, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information in three ways: information you give us, information we collect automatically, and information we receive from third parties.
Information you provide to us. This includes your name, email address, billing and payment information, mailing address (if provided), and any information you choose to share when you complete a form, respond to a survey or assessment (such as our burnout assessment), register for a masterclass or training, purchase a program, join a membership or community, or communicate with us by email, chat, or social media.
Information we collect automatically. When you use our Sites, we and our service providers may automatically collect information such as your IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, links clicked, the pages that referred you to us, and the dates and times of your visits. We collect this information using cookies and similar technologies (see Section 5).
Information from third parties. We may receive information about you from the platforms and providers we use to run our business, including our payment processor, our course and email platform, our webinar platform, our chat and automation tools, and social media platforms such as Instagram and Meta (for example, when you interact with our content or ads).
Sensitive information. Some of our programs touch on stress, burnout, and wellbeing, and you may choose to share personal experiences with us. Please share only what you are comfortable sharing. We do not require you to disclose health information to purchase or participate, and we are a coaching business, not a healthcare provider (see our Terms of Service).
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- provide, operate, and deliver the Services you request, including programs, memberships, trainings, and digital products;
- process payments and manage payment plans, subscriptions, and renewals;
- send you transactional messages such as receipts, access details, and program updates;
- send you marketing emails, content, and offers (you can unsubscribe at any time);
- respond to your questions and provide customer support;
- personalize and improve our content, Sites, and Services;
- measure the performance of our marketing, including email and social media campaigns;
- maintain the security of our Services and prevent fraud; and
- comply with our legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
3. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA and UK)
If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your personal data on the following legal bases: to perform our contract with you (for example, to deliver a program you purchased); your consent (for example, to send you marketing emails, which you may withdraw at any time); our legitimate interests (for example, to improve and secure our Services), where these are not overridden by your rights; and to comply with our legal obligations.
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information only as described below:
- Service providers. We share information with companies that help us run our business, such as our payment processor, course and email platform, webinar provider, chat and automation tools, analytics providers, and cloud storage providers. These providers may use your information only to provide services to us.
- Advertising and social media platforms. We may use tools (such as the Meta pixel) that share limited information with advertising platforms so we can measure and run advertising. Depending on your location, this may be considered "sharing" for targeted advertising under California law, and you can opt out (see Section 7).
- Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law, to respond to legal process, to protect the rights, property, or safety of our company, our clients, or others, or to enforce our Terms.
- Business transfers. If our business is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We and our providers use cookies and similar technologies to operate our Sites, remember your preferences, understand how the Sites are used, and measure marketing performance. You can usually control cookies through your browser settings, and where we provide a cookie consent banner you can manage your preferences there. We honor recognized opt-out preference signals where required by law.
6. Data Retention
We keep your personal information for as long as needed to provide the Services, maintain our business records, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When we no longer need it, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.
7. Your California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (the "CCPA"), gives you the right to:
- know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose;
- request access to and a copy of your personal information;
- request that we correct inaccurate personal information;
- request that we delete your personal information;
- opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information, as those terms are defined under the CCPA; and
- not be discriminated against for exercising your rights.
We do not sell your personal information. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will verify your request before responding, and you may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf.
California's "Shine the Light" law also lets California residents request information about disclosures of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. To make such a request, contact us at the email above.
8. Your Rights in the EEA, UK, and Other Regions
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to our processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected].
9. International Data Transfers
We are based in the United States, and our service providers may process your information in the United States and other countries. If you access our Services from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for these transfers.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Children's Privacy
Our Services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
12. Third-Party Links
Our Services may contain links to third-party websites and tools that we do not control. This Policy does not apply to those third parties, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies.
13. Marketing Choices
You can opt out of marketing emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any marketing message or by contacting us. Even if you opt out of marketing, we may still send you transactional messages related to your purchases and account.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective Date" above, and if the changes are significant we will provide a more prominent notice. Your continued use of the Services after the changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
